Mechanism of action

Thiamethoxam raw material is a new type of chloronicotinoid insecticide developed in collaboration between Bayer Agrochemicals in Germany and Bayer Agrochemicals in Japan.

The mechanism of action of thiacloprid is different from other traditional insecticides. It mainly acts on the membrane after insect nerve junction, interfering with the normal conduction of the insect nervous system by binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, causing blockage of nerve channels, leading to a large accumulation of acetylcholine, and causing abnormal excitation, spasms, paralysis, and death of insects. It has strong systemic, contact killing, and gastric toxicity effects, and has no cross resistance with conventional insecticides such as pyrethroids, organophosphates, and amino esters, making it suitable for resistance management.

Precautions

1. Safety for humans and animals. Thiamethoxam has high insecticidal activity against pine brown longhorn cattle, but its toxicity is extremely low, and it has high safety for humans and animals. 2. Regarding environmental safety. Due to the low vapor pressure of its active ingredient, thiacloprid does not pollute the air. Due to its short half-life, thiacloprid residues can quickly decompose into soil and rivers, with minimal impact on the environment.

3. Safety for aquatic organisms. Thiamethoxam has low toxicity to fish and other aquatic organisms, and usually has little effect on aquatic organisms
